Hey guys! Pete here from petetansley.com. I’m wrapping up Day 2 of my Mastermind with my clients. One of the things we’re talking about is how to manage your projects.
Here’s what I’ve learned from helping fitness business owners: most people try to do too much with too little time.
So here are 3 tips to get more out of your projects.
Instead of trying to do 27 different things at once, change your marketing, get new clients, get new staff onboard.
It’s better just to pick 2 or 3, and for the next 90 days really dial in on exactly what they are.
So here’s the best way how to do just that.
Tip #1: Choose just 3 per 90 days (and not 27)
Choose 3 projects and set some clear outcomes or what’s the best scenario and what’s the worst scenario for these 3 projects.
For example, if one of your projects is getting better – new leads coming onboard, what’s the best scenario in 90 days and what’s the worst scenario in 90 days. So that’s tip number 1.
Tip#2: Get a really clear, simple way to track your progress
Maybe do a weekly review, or check in with your coach or your partner once per week to see how well your projects are tracking.
Tip#3: Make it easy
And tip number 3 is to use post-it notes and checkboxes and ticks and crosses as a simple way to see if you’re progressing or not.
So the 3 things I just touched on:
-
To choose just 2 or 3 per 90 days (and not 27)
-
Have a simple way to see if they’re working or if they’re not, and to check in once a week.
-
Make it easy. Make it pen and paper or post-its or big and visual in your office so you know if you’re tracking or not.
